Student Clubs 2019 - 2020

  • Clay Club - COURSE
    Artists learn the basics of ceramics. Some projects include pinch pots, coil pots, and slab projects. There may be an opportunity to attend a field trip too!
  • Coloring Club
    Do you like to color? If so, then this is the club for you! Students may draw/color his or her own creation or select from a variety of "adult" type of coloring sheets.
  • Christian Club/Footprints - COURSE
    Christian Club discusses the core foundational beliefs found in the Christian Bible and applies these beliefs to your lives and the world around us.
  • Drama Club
    Actors will participate in skits, monologues, and stage craft. There will be a short student performance at the end of the school year. 
  • Games 101 - COURSE
    Come and play traditional board games such as Mancala, Uno, Trivial Pursuit, Battleship, Connect 4, or Jenga as well as an Xbox 360! Bring your favorite "E" or "T" rated game to share with your friends!
  • Gaming - COURSE
    Students will play educational video games on Chromebooks individually or with friends. Or play your favorite board game or puzzle. 

  • Into Film
    Do you enjoy movies?  Do you find yourself never wanting a movie to end?  After a movie, do you wish people wanted to keep talking about it?  If so, join the Into Film Club!  We will watch, critique, and review films.  Films range from classics to current releases.  You should enjoy the art of film making and viewing as well as in depth discussions about themes, characters, directing and more!
  • Global Citizens
    Students discuss critical issues facing the world today. Students work together to promote and accomplish community service goals.

  • Jewelry Making
    Join jewelry club to make pieces of jewelry for yourself and your friends! We will make friendship bracelets, key chains, beaded necklaces, and beaded bracelets. Bring your creativity and learn a new hobby!
  • Life Hacking - COURSE
    Dealing with the real world can be challenging. Learn ways to make life easier, including dealing with stress and the feels and coping with attitudes. Learn how to make money doing something you love, use technology, understand finances, and more!
  • MakerSpace - COURSE
    Do you like to make things or play with things to learn? MakerSpace combines computers, art, photography, tools, and more. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday is spent preparing projects and Wednesday is creation day! Bring your enthusiasm and your ideas! 

  • Outdoors, Fishing/Conservation - COURSE 
    Learn about how fishing and other outdoor activities can help to conserve the long-term health of animals species and habitat. Learn about the techniques, ethics, and adventure of fishing and other outdoor activities.
  • Peer Buddies
    Do you enjoy helping others? If so, this club is for you! Help foster positive relationships between disabled and non-disabled peers. This CARING club may be just for you!
  • Ping Pong
    Students will learn Ping Pong strategies and techniques and participate in class tournaments. This club will rotate weekly with SSR/HW club.

  • Random Acts of Kindness
    Join the Kindness Ninjas to spread joy and compassion around our campus. Last year, students sponsored Free Hug Days, a candy cane drive, thank you letters, a teacher baby shower, and a poster campaign to spread respect for our awesome Lunch Ladies. Students will come up with their own ideas this year to spread kindness to students, teachers, staff, and the community. Join us in showing what a Caring campus we have at FAMMS.
  • Run or Walk (R.O.W.) - COURSE
    Macaws will help reach their fitness goals by Running or Walking (R.O.W.) and receive fitness coaching. Travel various courses on campus. Water and a t-shirt will be provided. Come out and get in shape and have fun! At least one day per week is spent on SSR/HW.

  • Silent Reading/Homework Club
    Do you like to read? Would you like to work on homework while you're at school? If so, then this is a club for you! Join us and read a Macawesome book or finish that homework!

  • Soccer Club - Miller F.C.
    Club members will have the opportunity to play soccer. Club members are separated into small teams and compete in short tournaments that last about 6 days each. One day per week will be spent on homework.
  • Sports Club - COURSE
    Students play in tournaments in different sports activities. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday the club will have ALL OUT COMPETITIONS! Monday and Thursday is spent on SSR/HW.
  • Volleyball Club - COURSE
    Do you like to play volleyball? Then this club is for you! Students play various types of volleyball games. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday are volleyball days and Monday and Thursday is spent on SSR/HW.
