Dr. Rosa, Principal
Welcome to Frank Augustus Miller Middle School!
My name is Dr. Lindsey Rosa, and I am honored to welcome you as the Principal of Frank Augustus Miller Middle School. As I begin my 25th year in education and my second year leading the FAMMS community, I am filled with gratitude and excitement to continue my journey of service to our students, staff, and families.
Our theme for this school year is Taking Flight to Greatness: Every Macaw Has a Superpower. I firmly believe that every single student enters our doors with unique strengths, talents, and potential. Whether their superpower shines in the classroom, on the court, through leadership, or through quiet kindness, our mission at FAMMS is to help them discover it, refine it, and use it to soar.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving at every level: elementary, middle, and high school. I began as a Science, Health, and AVID teacher, then served as a high school Activities Director before moving into administration 15 years ago. I am also a proud product of the Riverside Unified School District, and I feel incredibly fortunate to lead in the very district that laid the foundation for my own educational journey.
My passion for education is rooted in a deep commitment to creating a school environment where students are known, supported, and challenged, and where staff feel valued, respected, and empowered. When students feel safe, connected, and recognized for their unique gifts, they are empowered to stretch their wings, overcome challenges, and achieve greatness. I am committed to honoring the strong traditions at FAMMS while fostering new opportunities grounded in excellence, belonging, and joy.
On a personal note, my family and I are proud, long-time members of the Riverside community. My husband, Kevin, is a Division I Water Polo Coach at California Baptist University, and both of our children, Brayden (21) and Bailey (20), attended FAMMS and Riverside schools before heading off to college. As a parent, I am forever grateful for the incredible educators who poured into my children’s lives and helped them unlock their own superpowers. I want every student at FAMMS to have that same outstanding experience, one where they feel excited to come to school, supported by a caring staff, challenged to do their best, and inspired to make a positive difference in the world.
As we begin this school year, I look forward to building strong partnerships with families and continuing the great work that makes FAMMS a place where students thrive. Together, we will ensure that every single one of our Macaws unlocks their individual strengths and takes flight toward greatness academically, socially, and emotionally.
